CHIPPENHAM had no answer to the all-round play of Ilminster’s Louis Kraucamp as they suffered an eight-wicket loss to the Premier Two title chasers.
Chippenham opted to bat first and saw Uzi Qureshi make 52 while opener Tom Young hit 39.
But they were the only two batsmen to reach double figures for Paul Bates’ side.
Kraucamp took three wickets for 20 runs while Steve Hurford also took three for just 16 runs.
Tom Spurway also claimed two wickets as Chippenham were bowled out for 127.
Kraucamp then proved immovable at the crease, hitting an unbeaten 59.
Spurway added 33 while Craig Rice weighed in with 20 as Ilminster cruised to 130-2 in just over 23 overs.
Chippenham are down to second bottom in the Premier Two table and next face a tough trip to leaders Gloucester City Winget.
