HARVEY Cummins starred with the bat as Wootton Bassett romped to an eight-wicket victory over Great Bedwyn.

Bedwyn won the toss and chose to bat first, with captain Dan Swatton leading with a knock of 70.

Richard Bosson added 30 while Carl Lay made 34 but Bassett’s Jaspal Chahal put the dampeners on the visitors as he took three wickets.

Akash Sharma also claimed two as Bedwyn posted 166-8.

Cummins was then at the forefront of the Bassett run chase as he hit an unbeaten 79 from 84 deliveries.

Sam Burdock made 25 while Kamlesh Shah weighed in with 33 off 15 balls before he fell to Rich West, with Bassett reaching 167-2.
