FORGOTTEN man Lecsinel Jean-Francois says he has not lost the belief that he can play a major role in Town’s season.

The Haitian has made just six appearances for the County Ground club in 2010/11, in direct contrast to the previous campaign, where he turned out 35 times and made a significant contribution as Town went all the way to the League One play-off final.

“It’s a bad moment for me, but I still believe in my capacity, I know what I can do,” revealed the defender.

“I don’t have to be mad or be angry with somebody and say it is their fault I’m not playing, I just keep working.

“I have already been in that situation at Guingamp so I know what I have to do. (He dealt with it by) training hard and asking the manager what I have to do to be back in the team.

“That’s the only thing I can do. My weaknesses I just have to work on and I will try to get better in training, and when I get my chance, take it.”

A conversation with Town boss Danny Wilson revealed to Jean-Francois that he had not been left out of the side based on his displays, as the defender told the Advertiser.

“I already talked to him (Wilson) but he said it was not about my performance that he dropped me,” said Jean-Francois.

“It’s probably because of the situation of the team and the way he’s looking to play, the different methods of playing, so that’s why I’m not playing I think.

“Every Saturday when I go home I’m trying to forget that (he was a regular last season in a successful side), and be back in training and hope to play in the next few games.

“It’s a footballer’s life that one day you’re playing and another day you’re not in his (the manager’s) plans.”
