DEVIZES youngster Rhianna Andrew will pull on Great Britain colours for the first time this November when she competes in the 19th World Age Group Trampolining Championships.

The 14-year-old, who attends Devizes School, was named as a reserve for last year’s Championships but will get the chance to make her GB bow in Metz, France, on November 17.

Rhianna, who lives near Green Lane, trains four times a week with Edgbarrow Trampoline club and said she is looking forward to competing in both the individual and double mini events in the 15/16 age group.

“I got selected after I finished in the top four in my age group at the national finals back in July and I’m looking forward to going,” said the youngster.

“I’ve seen the results that people got last time and I think it’ll be a really high standard.

“I’d always hoped that I’d get to compete for Great Britain and I think it’s going to be great.”

As part of her preparation for the World Champion-ships, Rhianna will first be representing Wales in the Home Nations competition at Gloucester’s GL1 Leisure Centre on October 24.

The Devizes youngster was born in England but qualifies for Wales through her Welsh-born father and has represented the country in a number of events.
