Adie Mings isn't reading too much into Cambridge City's position at the top of the Zamaretto Leauge Premier Division table, ahead of the Bluebirds' trip to the City Ground on Saturday.

Chippenham and Cambridge are the only two unbeaten sides going into this weekend's fixtures and the Bluebirds will be looking to cut their opponents' six-point lead at the peak of the table.

Despite his side's aspirations of winning promotion to the Conference South this season, Mings says that early league positions don't concern him.

"It's a little too early to start worrying about who's leading the league," said the Chippenham manager.

"Cambridge have had a good start but even their manager has said that they've been lucky in their last few games and managed to get results when they've not been playing well.

"We've not been playing well and perhaps missing out on points but it's a long haul season and things won't start to take shape until Christmas - that's when we'll start to look at things."

Midfielder Luke Gullick has returned to light training but isn't expected to have recovered from a thigh injury in time for the trip to Cambridge.

Nathan Rudge is a doubt with a knee problem while fellow defender Shaun Lamb bruised his foot in last weekend's FA Cup defeat to Farnborough.
