CHIPPENHAM archer Pauline Burfitt crowned a superb season by finishing the highest scoring ladies compound archer as Dorset & Wiltshire won the Grand Western Region Inter-Counties Competition in Exeter.
Burfitt was part of a 24-strong team, made up of Compound, Recurve and Longbow archers, drawn from clubs within Dorset and Wiltshire who competed against teams from Devon and Cornwall, Gloucestershire and Somerset.
Dorset and Wilshire finished champions for the third year running, Burfitt also being part of the winning Compound Team of two ladies and two men.
This year has also seen her become Grand Western Region Indoor and Outdoor Champion and achieve the award of Grand Master Bowman, the highest level of performance an archer can achieve.
