CHIPPENHAM’S narrow victory ensured promotion to Wessex Division Two and avenged a defeat earlier in the season.
Their defence absorbed some early pressure from North Wilts and gave the midfield the platform that they needed to provide plenty of ball up front to the waiting forwards. North Wilts started the second half in more determined mood and attacked, but the Chippenham defence remained solid. Chippenham stepped up a gear and enjoyed the majority of possession but could not find a second.
