Cricket: Seagry vs Biddestone 3rd XI

Matt Unwin was the star of the show as Biddestone 3rds claimed a nail-biting 5 run victory over Seagry. Seagry elected to bowl first and their decision appeared justified as they reduced Biddestone to 79-6 from the first 29 overs.

It was at this point that Unwin started to play his shots, and with valuable support from the tail, he blazed his way to 120 with 13 fours and 5 sixes.

He was finally dismissed in the last over having guided his side to 190.

Bowlers again dominated early in reply as Seagry slumped to 93 for 8, with Ben McElhinney claiming 4 wickets.

But there was still another twist in this match as Bailey (47n.o.), Symonds (27) and Morris (20) took Seagry to the brink of victory.

It fell to Craig Pepper (3-20) to bowl the last over, and with 8 needed for victory he held his nerve to clean bowl Morris with the third ball of the over and seal victory for Biddestone by 5 runs.
