WESTBURY United forward Callum Demkiv scored his first goal since returning to the club from Corsham Town on Tuesday night in a 1-1 draw with Paulton Rovers.

After the White Horse Men's Southern League Division One South clash away to Bashley was postponed on Saturday, Westbury resumed their league campaign away to Paulton in midweek.

A first half low on action was interrupted just before the break when Demkiv latched onto Gary Higdon's through ball. The striker kept his composure brilliantly to slot home one-on-one.

Westbury stopper Jonny Hill made a good save after the break, but he was powerless to prevent an equaliser for Paulton in the 72nd minute.

While the game ended all square, Westbury lost Aaron Cockerill to a second yellow card in the dying moments.

Elsewhere, Melksham Town also saw their weekend game called off, but rearranged the contest against Bishops Cleeve for Tuesday night.

Mark Collier's side fell 1-0 at home, though, as the visitors took the lead shortly after half-time at Oakfield Stadium.

In the Hellenic League Premier Division, Royal Wootton Bassett saw off Roman Glass St George 3-1 in one of very few matches that went ahead on Saturday. Brad Pagliaroli netted twice early on while Matt Jones put the icing on the cake around the hour mark.

Sam Collier's men were unable to follow that result up, however, as they lost 1-0 away to local rivals Shrivenham in midweek. Jordan Wilkins scored inside the final 20 minutes for Shrivvy - who also had Callum Parsons-McGhee sent off.

Corsham put the disappointment of their FA Vas defeat behind them with a 2-0 win over Thornbury Town on Monday night.

Alex Hallett and Chris Allen netted for the Quarrymen - who were due to face Chipping Sodbury Town at the Southbank on Wednesday night.
