THE Stratton Bank will be open, a lucky group of fans will get to take a penalty against owner Clem Morfuni, and the players will do a lap of appreciation after the final whistle.

Swindon Town’s final home game of the season should be a memorable one for a variety of reasons - not least because Ben Garner’s men need three points against Barrow to keep their League Two play-off hopes alive.

Off the pitch, Town will be supported by a bumper crowd after the club announced the usually-empty fourth stand would be open with reduced ticket prices for fans.

Town said: “Due to high demand with the Reds pushing for a play-off spot, the the Stratton Bank will be open for home fans only for our must-win clash against Barrow at The County Ground on Saturday, April 30.”

Swindon have been able to do this after the Official Supporters Club and Trust STFC covered the marginal cost of opening the stand.

Both supporter groups are encouraging as many fans as possible to attend in any of the four stands as Town aim to take their season into the final day away at Walsall.

Ticket prices for the Stratton Bank are as follows: Adult - £10, Senior - £9, U21 - £8, U18 - £5, U11 - £1.

Prior to the match, midfielder Jordan Lyden will be in the club shop from 1:45pm, taking photos with fans and signing autographs.

And at 2:50pm, there will be a roll of honour over applause to remember those fans who have died during the season.

Meanwhile, at half-time of Saturday’s game, 10 fans will have the opportunity to take a penalty against the Town owner.

The physically-imposing Australian will don a pair of goalkeeping gloves and attempt to keep out spot-kicks from five fans who have a valid match ticket for Saturday, and five season-ticket holders who are in attendance on Saturday and who have renewed for the 2022-23 season before 4pm on Friday, April 29.

Swindon say the winners will be notified after 4pm on Friday.

Post-match - regardless of the result - Garner said he will lead his squad and coaching staff around the circumference of the County Ground pitch.

In Friday’s pre-Barrow press conference, Garner said: “We will be coming back out after the game to do a lap of appreciation to show our thanks for the support we’ve had this season.

“Whatever goes on in the 90 minutes, I really hope that it’s reciprocated for these young men who have given so much this season.”

Town also say there will be pizzas available to fans in the Legends Lounge after the game.
