ROBBIE Fowler and Paul Tisdale are the early favourites for the Swindon Town manager's job, according to bookmaker, BetVictor.

After John Sheridan resigned as Swindon boss, Town have been in the process of looking for their next permanent manager with it recently being widely reported that the club were in talks with ex-Liverpool star Fowler.

Fowler is indeed most likely to be in charge at the County Ground next season, however, despite all of the speculation he is still only 6-1 to be next manager of the Robins, whereas Tisdale, who hasn't seen the same level of speculation in regard to his potential appointment, is equally priced at 6-1.

Tisdale is said to be looking for a new challenge after his short term advisory role at Colchester United ended and has admittedly also been linked with the Leyton Orient job, for which he is currently priced at 4-1.

The next favourite appears to be another manager who is linked with the Orient vacancy. Former Portsmouth boss Kenny Jackett is currently 8-1 to be the next Town boss, just behind Fowler and Tisdale.

Meanwhile, the trio of John McGreal, Chris Powell, and Liam Rosenior are all potential contenders priced at 12/1, and another trio in Neal Ardley, Michael Carrick, and Joe Cole are all considered outsiders for the role at 16/1.

A selection of the next Swindon Town Manager odds: • Paul Tisdale: 6-1 • Robbie Fowler: 6-1 • Kenny Jackett: 8-1 • Chris Powell: 12-1 • John McGreal: 12-1 • Liam Rosenior: 12-1 • Neal Ardley: 16-1 • Michael Carrick: 16-1 • Joe Cole: 16-1 • Sol Campbell: 20-1 • Ian Holloway: 20-1 • Colin Calderwood: 25-1 • Mark Cooper: 25-1 • Roy Keane: 25-1 • Sam Ricketts: 25-1 • John Terry: 25-1
