CHIPPENHAM Town saw their National League South contest at home to Slough Town postponed on Tuesday night following an outbreak of Covid-19 within the Bluebirds camp.
Town put out a statement on their website declaring two players had had positive tests returned to them while a number of other playing staff had reported Covid-like symptoms since the start of the weekend.
It is not currently known which Chippenham Town players have contracted the virus, though the affected men will now have to self-isolate for at least 10 days, per government guidelines.
Slough Town also put out a statement which suggested they too were suffering from an outbreak of Covid-19.
It read: "Due to potential Covid-19 cases at both clubs, we've agreed with Chippenham Town and The National League that tonight’s scheduled match be postponed as a prudent measure."
A new date for the fixture is yet to be announced.
The midweek postponement against Slough means Mike Cook's men have now not played since losing 3-0 to St Albans City on October 31.
Chippenham's next scheduled fixture is against Ebbsfleet United on Saturday November 14.
