SWINDON Town’s game against Accrington Stanley on Tuesday night is in severe doubt after both teams saw their respective League One contests called by the EFL this weekend.
Town’s derby against Oxford United was postponed late on Friday following four positive tests at the County Ground, while Accrington against Bristol Rovers was suspended on Thursday after it was discovered that Stanley had eight positive Covid-19 tests among their group.
Adver Sport understands only one member of the Swindon Town playing staff has been affected by the virus.
With neither team willing or able to fulfil Saturday’s fixtures, and the government’s 10-day isolation rule now in full effect, Tuesday’s game looks unlikely to go ahead at this stage.
The EFL is yet to make an official announcement on the game.
