Covid cases
Earlier this evening, Swindon Borough Council confirmed that four people at Swindon Town Football Club had tested positive for coronavirus.
A further three people who had had close contact with those who have tested positive have been ordered to self-isolate as a precaution.
The club has not said named those to have tested positive. However, the Adver understands it includes players and members of coaching staff.
Health chief’s warning
Swindon Borough Council director of public health Steve Maddern warned: “This outbreak at Swindon Town shows that no one is immune from the virus. Everyone needs to play their part in tackling covid.”
