DOUBLE winners Swindon Robins will kick off the 2020 season by hosting King’s Lynn in the SGB Premiership Supporters Cup.

In a block of six cup matches that will precede the league format, the Robins will face each of their three Southern group counterparts in double headers before the league meetings get underway in late April.

King’s Lynn are first up for the Robins on Thursday March 26 and Monday March 30 before Peterborough Panthers arrive at the Abbey on Thursday April 2.

Alun Rossiter’s men head to Suffolk to take on last season’s beaten SGB Premiership finalists Ipswich Witches on Thursday April 9 before a rare Monday meeting for the Robins takes place four days later.

Swindon will then get the defence of their league title underway with a trip to Manchester to take on Belle Vue on Monday April 20.

Nikki Pedersen’s Sheffield Tigers arrive at the Abbey in the first meeting of May while the Robins see out the month with home meetings against Peterborough and King’s Lynn.

June and July feature some cracking summer meetings against each of the other six top-flight opponents while July sees five meetings against five different opponents.

If all goes to plan, Swindon should round off their regular season with a trip to Ipswich on Thursday September 3.
