Adver Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town players following their 2-1 victory over Plymouth Argyle in League Two.

Steven Benda: 7

The German made a handful of really good saves and responded to chants about being inferior to Luke McCormick with aplomb. Might have done better with the goal, however.

Paul Caddis: 7

Was struggling to cut out crosses from Cooper in the first half and didn’t get out quickly enough for the goal, but defended brilliantly throughout the second half and got the all-important assist for Doyle’s winner.

Anthony Grant: 8

Hardly put a foot wrong all game and dominated Plymouth’s final third as though it was the middle of the pitch. Harshly booked when an Argyle man dived in front of him.

Zeki Fryers: 7

Started off a little edgily as he misjudged a couple of long balls, but not a bad return to the side all things considered.

Rob Hunt: 6.5

Normally quite dependable on the left, his positional sense seemed to be absent in this game and was far too easily beaten by Telford for the Plymouth goal.

Danny Rose: 8

Rose served as a brilliant replacement for Grant in the middle of the pitch, won nearly everything and recycled the ball smartly. His best game in a while.

Jordan Lyden: 7

Served as a decent sidekick for Rose in the middle and broke up play well enough, but was booked for a silly challenge in the first half. Booked.

Lloyd Isgrove: 8

The winger was majestic in the first half and was often involved in several of his team’s attacking moves. Did his share of defensive work too. Subbed.

Jerry Yates: 7.5

Asked to play on the wing once again, Yates linked up with those around him brilliantly and looked lively throughout before being taken off on the hour. Subbed.

Diallang Jaiyesimi: 9

The Norwich loanee enjoyed his best game in a Town shirt as he roamed the Plymouth half in the number-10 role. Scored a brilliant goal, he was quick, powerful and sparkled whenever he touched the ball. Subbed.

Eoin Doyle: 8

The Irishman bagged the winner as he scooped his 23rd goal of the season with a smart finish, though he could have had one or two more if not for good saves by Palmer.

SUBSTITUTES

Kaiyne Woolery: 7

Made an immediate impact and used his speed to great advantage when running at tiring Argyle defenders late on. Could have put the game to bed in the dying moments but fluffed his lines.

Michael Doughty: 7

Was instrumental in the goal as his presence of mind slowed the game down before releasing Caddis at the perfect time.

Cameron McGilp: N/A

Came on in added time to help see the game out.
