PEWSEY youngster Jack Smith was unlucky to lose a close decision when he had his latest bout at Forest Hill Golf Club in Gloucester.
The 12-year-old Devizes ABC member was in his seventh fight against an opponent from Kings ABC.
The contest was close throughout, with Smith’s aggressive body punching negated at times by the back-foot counter-punching of his rival.
At the end of the bout, Pewsey Vale Secondary School pupil Smith lost a narrow decision from the judges.
