CHIPPENHAM fighter Kent Kauppinen says the universe has already given him signs that he will win his upcoming fight against Andy Manzolo at Bellator London this weekend.

The 27-year-old is competing at Wembley Arena for the fourth time on the undercard of Michael Page against Giovanni Melillo, with Kauppinen’s previous three bouts in London ending in defeat.

Kauppinen will now begin rebuilding towards a title fight against the dangerous Estonian Manzolo – a man who has won his last seven fights in a row.

But the Chippenham fighter says that record is certain to end on Saturday as he is 100 per cent sure he will come out on top due to having already dreamt about reigning supreme – Kauppinen’s pre-requisite for a successful fight.

He said: “I know 100 per cent that I win this fight.

“The universe has already given me signs that I win this fight. As long as I work hard to win it, I will win.

“Every fight that I have one clear dream where I knock my opponent out, I win. It happened with (Alessio) Sakara, but it didn’t happen with (Melvin) Manhoef.

“The reason it didn’t happen with Manhoef was because I didn’t train hard enough and the guy I was fighting was one of my idols growing up. So I was just happy to be in that moment.

“Whereas with this one, I have one chance to make a very good career for myself and leave a legacy behind, and I’m going to take it.”

Kauppinen believes he will not only buck the trend of losing at Wembley Arena, following losses to Fabian Edwards, Walter Gahadze and Melvin Manhoef, but the Chippenham man is also convinced he will complete the job by knock out.

Far from underestimating Manzolo, who has a record of 22-6 coming into the bout, Kauppinen simply feels his own training and preparation has been so intense and well thought out, he stands the best chance ever of getting his career back on track.

He said: “This guy is good – he’s won his last seven fights in a row.

“He’ll be tidy, and it will be a good fight.

“I’m at Wembley again - I know I’ve lost my last three, but hopefully it will be fourth time lucky.

“I know from how hard I’ve been training that he’s going to get knocked out. It’s as simple as that.

“From how much I have dedicated to this training camp, there is no possible way he beats me.

“I’ve made sure I’ve gone through everything that will allow me to be physically and mentally ready for this weekend’s fight.”
