Albion's youngsters could be bset for another eye-opening night in their football education.

The Seagulls under-21s might find themselves playing in front of up to 2,000 Ajax fans at the unlikely venue of Leyton Orient.

UEFA have banned Ajax from selling tickets for their next away match in the Champions League, at Chelsea on November 5, because of crowd trouble in their Group H game at Valencia this month.

With flights and accommodation already booked, the supporters have looked elsewhere in the capital for their football entertainment.

Albion’s trip to Leyton Orient in the Leasings.com Trophy on the same evening has caught their eye.

Orient have confirmed discussions would be taking place with Ajax over how to help fans get along to their game if they wanted to.

A statement read: “We’re aware of the interest from AFC Ajax supporters in attending the Leasing.com Trophy match against Brighton and Hove Albion Under-21s on November 5 at the Breyer Group Stadium.

“We will be entering in communication with AFC Ajax in how best to facilitate this.”

Ajax had already been under a suspended sentence in the wake of disturbances during the European fixture against Benfica last season.

Albion’s youngsters had a taste of European atmosphere last season when travelling Bayern Munich fans livened up a Premier League International Cup fixture at their Lancing training complex.

On-loan Albion striker Florin Andone scored twice last night as Galatasaray beat second-placed Sivasspor 3-2 in the Turkish top flight.

Andone’s second came from the penalty spot as he started up front.

He was shown a yellow card in the second half as Gala held on for a much-needed win.
