The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

ONE TO WATCH: Harry McKirdy

HIGHLY-RATED youngster Harry McKirdy has a new challenge in life following his release from Aston Villa at the end of last season.

Carlisle boss Steven Pressley even described the 22-year-old as the type of player fans are happy to pay their money for.

And if that proves the case tomorrow, the likes of Swindon duo Michael Doughty and Adam May will have to be aware.

He completed six successful dribbles against Crawley last weekend, but might face stiffer competition this time around.

Nonetheless, United fans are already crying out for their boss to tie McKirdy down to a contract extension. Keep your eye on him.

KEY BATTLE: Mathieu Baudry v Olufela Olomola

MATHIEU Baudry has been tipped by Richie Wellens to be one of Swindon’s key players this season, and his services will no doubt be required when Carlisle visit on Saturday.

If star man Harry McKirdy doesn’t strike, then Baudry – with team-mate Dion Conroy – will have to prevent Arsenal youth graduate Olufela Olomola.

Olomola didn’t reach the heights he knows he is capable of achieving during an initial loan stint at Yeovil last season, but his time with the Glovers prior to their relegation proves he can be a force to be reckoned with on his day. Baudry might just get the edge in this one.
