RICHIE Wellens is seeking to rid of Toumani Diagouraga and Jermaine McGlashan, and has told both players they have every right to search for a new club.
Both players featured in last night’s 4-1 pre-season friendly win at Hungerford, but are not part of Wellens’ plans for the upcoming 2019-20 League Two campaign.
Diagouraga joined Swindon on a free transfer last season – signing a two-year deal – having previously played for Brentford, Leeds, Fleetwood and Plymouth.
McGlashan meanwhile spent the conclusion of last season on loan at National League team Wrexham – and has re-joined the Town squad for pre-season training as he also penned a two-year deal last season.
Wellens said: “When I was a player, I always wanted my manager to be honest with me.
“So, I’ve told Toumani Diagouraga and Jermaine McGlashan that they can find new clubs – I told them that weeks ago.”
