BRADFORD City and Plymouth Argyle have been priced up as early favourites to win League Two next season – with Richie Wellens’ Swindon Town as big as 16/1 to top the table.

The division’s 24-strong line-up was confirmed yesterday, after Tranmere Rovers defeated Newport County 1-0 in the play-off final at Wembley Stadium in extra time.

William Hill and Betway were quick to offer punters their thoughts on how next season’s league will pan out.

Gary Bowyer’s side have been chalked up as 8/1 joint-favourites with Argyle to win the league, with Mansfield Town and Scunthorpe United 9/1 to land the spoils.

Recently promoted Salford City are as short as 9/1 too – while Macclesfield, Morecambe, Cheltenham and Crawley are judged to be the most likely teams to face the drop.

Swindon meanwhile are generally 14/1 to win the league, though they are as short as 7/2 to win promotion.

Next season’s full fixture list will be confirmed on Thursday, June 20 – with Swindon’s first League Two game expected to be played on Saturday, August 3.
