NATIONAL team manager Alun Rossiter has nominated his five Great Britain riders to enter the GP qualifying stages for next year’s competition.

Glasgow fans will have the chance to cheer on one of their own, with Craig Cook appearing at the Ashfield Stadium round on Saturday, June 8 alongside young sensation Robert Lambert.

Belle Vue’s Dan Bewley, who has made a successful comeback from serious multiple injuries, will head to Slovakia on the same date and Chris Harris, who has ridden in 100 Grands Prix in his fine career, will be in France on that date.

Charles Wright has been handed a call-up to the German round on June 10.

GB boss Rossiter, who is also team manager of Swindon Robins in the Premiership, said: “It’s great to have Craig and Robert at Glasgow – that’s going to be a big occasion, I’m sure.

“They were two obvious candidates for us to pick, and I had no hesitation in putting Dan in because he has shown so much courage to achieve what he has.

“Chris Harris has to be in because he’s had a solid start to the season and I fancy him to make progress.

“And Charles Wright has been excellent, he deserves this opportunity. He’s been winning races for fun and has caught my eye, so I’m pleased to hand him the opportunity.”
