DEVIZES Canoe Club’s Flossie Ball has been chosen to represent Great Britain at the upcoming World Cup in Oslo and at the German National Championships.
Competing in the U17 section, Ball’s selection comes off the back of the recent Assessment Event on Easter Monday.
Meanwhile, several Devizes members recorded strong results at the National Masters Sprint Championship Regatta.
Dan Jones and Reeve Stevens were the club’s top performers at Holme Pierrepont in Nottingham, winning gold in both the 500m and 200m K2 men’s C/D section.
Stevens was third in the 200m K1 men’s C/D event and fifth over 500m, while Jones was eighth in the 1000m K1 boys A/B event and sixth over 200m.
Charlie Allen was eighth in Final 2 of the 200m K1 boys C class and fifth in Final 2 over 500m.
Amongst the girls, Mollie Ball was fifth in the 1000m K1 girls C class and ninth over 500m.
Daisy Ball was sixth in Final 1 of the 500m Lightning A class.
