CALNE avoided a bottom-two finish in Dorset & Wilts One North thanks to a 21-14 victory at home to Trowbridge 2nd on the final weekend of the season.
That result saw them climb above Pewsey Vale, who drop to second bottom following a heavy 74-7 defeat away at high-flying Avonvale.
There was also final-day defeat for Sutton Benger as a 22-8 loss away at Chippenham 2nd sees them end the season eighth in the table.
Minety rounded off the campaign with a five-point victory, but did so without even having to run out onto the pitch as they were awarded a home walkover after opponents Warminster were unable to raise a side. They finish the season sixth in the table.
