The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

ONE TO WATCH: Kevin Ellison

MORECAMBE’S Kevin Ellison is the second oldest player to have feature in League Two this season behind Crawley Town’s Dannie Bulman.

To say the 40-year-old midfielder has bags of experience is an understatement.

He has become somewhat of a Morecambe legend, having made more than 350 appearances since joining the club in 2011.

He shows no signs of slowing down and has already played 42 games this term.

Finishing 11th in 2014-15 has been the Shrimps’ best finish since he signed for the club and positive results of late have edged them clear of the drop zone once again.

KEY BATTLE: Jak McCourt v Jordan Cranston

SWINDON Town struggled to pierce through Port Vale’s defensive line last weekend, and boss Richie Wellens did not hide his frustration at his attacking players during his post-match press conference.

Versatile Morecambe man Jordan Cranston, who can play in the back four or midfield, is likely to be the one trying to cut out those vital final-third passes at SN1 this weekend.

Couple that with Jak McCourt’s tendency to push forward, and we have our key area of the pitch.

McCourt was subbed early against Carlisle United a fortnight ago, and after finding himself on the bench last weekend, he will want a swift return to the starting XI against the Shrimps.
