MALMESBURY teenager Imogen Eagles added to her already brimming CV when she was presented with Badminton England's Junior Volunteer of the Year Award.

The 14-year-old received her prize in front of a large crowd of international fans at the NEC in Birmingham, who had gathered to watch the world's top players spar for a place in the finals at the Yonex All England National Badminton Championships.

Eagles has already picked up several other deserving accolades, including Junior Foundation Assistant and Young Leader at Badminton England's newest but biggest local Premier Junior Club – the North Wiltshire Badminton Project.

The NWBP is headed up by BE UKCC Level 3 lead performance development coach Jamie Sims, with Eagles training twice a week and representing the club in local U14 and U16 leagues.

Eagles is also a member of Badminton England's Young Leaders Academy.
