PLAYER RATINGS

Luke McCormick: 6.5

Distribution was efficient and made a couple of good saves when he was called upon. Not much he could have done about the goal.

Kyle Knoyle: 6.5

Another dependable performance but he will be disappointed at not being able to make much of an impact going forward again.

Dion Conroy: 7

Seems to be building a strong partnership with Broadbent and defended well when he had to. Delivered a decent cross for the Robinson goal.

Tom Broadbent: 7

Very rarely lost a header and performed admirably as captain. Could be a pillar to build a successful defence around.

Ali Koiki: 5.5

Had a pretty poor second half but recovered slightly in the second 45. Showed the inconsistency of youth and lost his player for the goal.

Canice Carroll: 6

Attempts his job with gusto but struggled to control the tempo of the game when he needed to. Some erratic passing and horrible early tackle did not help his cause.

Jak McCourt: 6

Covered the ground well and tried as well as he might to do Carroll’s job too at times. Not sure he is the answer to Swindon’s problems in anchoring the midfield.

Kaiyne Woolery: 6

His touch lets him down far too often but did look dangerous at times. Had one big chance at the end of the first half but fluffed his lines and it cost Town in the end.

Keshi Anderson: 6

Do not remember seeing him involved in too much action although when he did, it usually resulted in something promising. Not involved enough today to help Swindon’s cause.

Kyle Bennett: 7

Made an encouraging impression on his first home start and had a few efforts on goal. Could be interesting to watch for the rest of this season.

Theo Robinson: 7

Made a nuisance of himself up front but suffered from a lack of support from the attacking players on the pitch. Took his chance very well and could have had another.

Subs:

James Dunne: 6

Marc Richards: 6

Neither had time to make much of an impact. Richards and Robinson may be worth looking at as a strike partnership in a season that looks like it’s going to fizzle out.
