LIAM Gibbens’ hat-trick helped fire Heytesbury back to the top of the Division One table in the Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories-sponsored Trowbridge & District League with a 7-0 victory over Warminster Town Reserves.

Gibbens scored three times in the opening 12 minutes to set his side on their way, with other goals coming from Brendan Hind, Myles Woodward and a double from Craig Sheppard.

Heytesbury are now top on goal difference from Hilperton United after they found their scoring restricted in a 2-1 win over Semington Magpies.

Sitting in third, two points off the pace but with three games in hand on the teams above them, are Holt as they made it eight straight league wins with a 7-3 success against Calne Eagles.

Two goals apiece from Josh Maguire and Mark Maguire and Finn Young and a single effort from Otis Young sealed the points for Holt. Calne’s goals came from Josh Madle (2) and Mickey Taraskevics.

Last year’s champions, Freshford United, recorded a thumping 9-0 win over Melksham Town A, with Alfie Little leading the way with a hat-trick.

Eddie Kutumba and Waleed Bakali also weighed in with two each and Mark Reynolds and Dave Percival got singles.

Three Daggers visited Trowbridge Town Reserves and came away with a convincing 7-2 win.

Drew Adams was the star of the show with four goals, while two efforts from Joe Moloney and one from Jack Hayward completed the Daggers’ haul.

DIVISION TWO

THE result of the day came from the Stiffs as they earned just a second win of the season with a 1-0 victory at second-placed Westbury United Development.

A single strike from Kieran Hardwick was enough to seal the points.

Marshfield moved into second place in the table with a hard fought 3-1 win over fellow title challengers Aces.

Two goals from David Jenkins and one from Callum Duckett secured the points for the home side, with Phillip Powell scoring for Aces.

Warminster United were awarded the points against Greyhound after the latter were unable to raise a team.
