The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

ONE TO WATCH: Christian Doidge

IT has been a season of uncertainty for Forest Green Rovers’ proven goal scorer Christian Doidge.

He spent the first month at the New Lawn before departing for Bolton Wanderers.

But claims from Rovers chairman Dale Vince that the 26-year-old’s wages hadn’t been paid by the Trotters were voiced after it was announced he had returned to Gloucestershire in January.

One thing that fans can be certain of, though, is his ability in front of goal.

He has struck seven times in 11 appearances – one as a substitute – this season.

Couple that with Reuben Reid’s ability by his side, Rovers certainly have plenty of scoring power.

KEY BATTLE: Theo Robinson v Lewis Ward

FOREST Green Rovers are far from a goalkeeping crisis, but their hopes between the sticks haven’t been helped in recent weeks.

Familiar stopper Robert Sanchez returned to Brighton & Hove Albion, while James Montgomery remains sidelined through injury.

Lewis Ward has therefore been drafted in from Reading, and he conceded twice on debut against bottom club Notts County on Saturday.

Swindon Town boss Richie Wellens will therefore be looking towards the likes of Keshi Anderson, Michael Doughty and new recruit Theo Robinson to notch.

Robinson perhaps should’ve scored at Stadium MK on Saturday – he will be wanting make amends this evening.
