ADVER Sport assess the performances of the Swindon Town player’s in today’s 1-0 defeat against Crawley Town in League Two.
LAWRENCE VIGOUROUX – 6
Quiet afternoon as barely a shot was sent the way of his net barring the goal, which he stood no chance of keeping out after two deflections.
CANICE CARROLL – 4
Tough game but did well to win a penalty late on. Was hesitant, leading to mistakes on the ball and was outmuscled on a couple of occasions too.
TOM BROADBENT – 5.5
Crawley’s attack threat was limited but he did what was required to keep them quiet and threw himself at a couple of set-pieces at the other end too.
LUKE WOOLFENDEN – 7
One of few to come out with any credit. Strong at the back throughout and bailed out his team on a couple of occasions with recovery challenges.
ALI KOIKI – 5
Energetic initially and probed up the left on a couple of occasions to cause the visitors a few headaches but was not much of a threat in the second half.
JAMES DUNNE – 5
Did not really get a grip on the game and could not stamp his authority on the play. Made an impact in recent weeks but standard dropped here.
JAK MCCOURT – 5
Almost gave Town the lead in the first half with a well-hit free-kick but other set-pieces offered little threat and did not have much authority on proceedings. Subbed.
MICHAEL DOUGHTY – 4.5
Glimpses of promise early on but his presence in the middle of the park quickly began to fade and he was withdrawn soon after the restart.
KESHI ANDERSON – 5.5
Lively initially and Crawley’s only response to stem his threat was to resolute to fouls but blew his chance to be a late hero when a tame penalty was saved.
KAIYNE WOOLERY – 5
One decent chance was deflected wide and gamely chased a couple of overhit through balls up the channel but did get many opportunities use his pace as a weapon.
MARC RICHARDS – 5.5
Held up the ball well on a couple of occasions but did not get much of a sight at goal as balls into him were just a fraction out of reach. Subbed late on.
Substitutes:
SCOTT TWINE – 5
(For Doughty, 56) Brought on to add pace and but for one curling shot, did not see much action.
DANNY ROSE – 5.5
(For McCourt, 70) A few nice touches and passes, plus threatening set-pieces.
BEN HOUSE – 5
(For Richards, 73) Delayed his shot too with the one chance he saw late on.
Subs not used: Luke McCormick, Kyle Knoyle, Dion Conroy, Matt Taylor.
