SWINDON Wildcats completed a four-point weekend in NIHL South One on Sunday night with a battling 5-4 victory away at Milton Keynes Thunder to keep up their winning run.
The Cats were 7-3 winners at home to Streatham on Saturday night and followed it up with another success on the road in Milton Keynes and have now made it six league wins in a row.
Swindon were the first to strike as Max Birbraer gave the away side an early lead, but Ross Bowers soon brought Thunder back level.
Saturday night hat-trick hero Floyd Taylor restored the Cats’ lead, but the score was back level by the time the first period ended as Rio Grinnell-Parke restored parity for the hosts once more.
Milton Keynes then led for the first time on the night as Bowers struck early in the second session, but three goals without reply swiftly put the Cats back in control as Eliot Randall and Aaron Nell’s double turned the game around.
Just one goal arrived in the final period as Bowers completed his treble for Thunder, but Swindon held firm to travel home with victory.
