WITH Heytesbury involved in the Wiltshire Junior Cup, Hilperton United climbed to the top of the Division One table in the Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories Trowbridge & District League after an 8-0 win at Calne Eagles.

Luke Murden helped himself to four goals, with Jake Samuel, Graham Griffiths, Tom Blackman and Chris Foley weighing in with a strike each to help Hilperton climb to the summit.

Melksham Town A surrendered a two-goal lead share a 2-2 draw at Semington Magpies.

Goals from Will Jacomb and Cam Thomas saw Melksham in control with five minutes remaining, but late strikes from Richy Allum and Sam Malone earned Semington a share of the spoils.

Holt’s strong form continued with a sixth consecutive league victory, beating Three Daggers 4-2.

Two goals apiece from Otis Young and Scott Barker won the points as Daggers replied through Ashley Easton and Martin Johnson.

Trowbridge Town Reserves came out on top 3-1 on their trip to Warminster Town Reserves.

Goals from Kieran Green, Alex Shaw and Toby Murden saw Trowbridge to victory, with the Warminster score coming via an own goal.

DIVISION TWO

WESTBURY United Development remain at the top of the table, but saw their promotion hopes dented with a 4-0 loss to fellow challengers Calne Town Reserves.

Ben Trafford, Brett Fairclough, Declan McStravick and Oscar Webster were all on target for Calne.

Rob Malia scored a hat-trick as Aces’ excellent form continued with a 5-1 success at home to Greyhound.

Nick Baldwin and Vijay Manro eased Aces in front and although Simon Parfitt pulled one back for Greyhound, Malia stole the show in the final 20 minutes.

Warminster United were made to fight for their 2-1 win at Spencers.

Goals from Tom Martin and James Vincent kept up United’s perfect record, with a strike from Tommy Foley keeping Spencers in the game until the final whistle.

The Stiffs were beaten 4-0 when they travelled to Zeals as Mathew Carter’s double and a strike each from Ben Hogg and Ben Rogerson won the points for the home side.

WILTSHIRE JUNIOR CUP

CRAIG Sheppard scored both goals for Heytesbury – the first his 100th for the club – in their Wiltshire Junior Cup game against Alderbury.

Despite the excellent landmark achievement, Sheppard could not prevent his side from bowing out of the completion in a 7-2 defeat.

SOMERSET JUNIOR CUP

FRESHFORD United visited Frome Collegians in their Somerset Junior Cup Tie but crashed out of the competition after losing 5-1.

GLOUCESTERSHIRE INTERMEDIATE CUP

MARSHFIELD’S hopes in the Gloucestershire Intermediate Cup were ended in a 2-0 defeat at Lawrence Rovers.
