LEAGUE LEADERS Kintbury Rangers conceded late as they battled to a 2-2 draw against in-form Malmesbury Victoria Development.

Despite finding themselves third from bottom, Victoria took the lead in the first half when Lewis King struck while Shaun Thorp was sent off for Kintbury shortly after, leaving Malmesbury in a commanding position at the break.

However, a second-half brace from George Smith turned the tables on Malmesbury and only a last-minute strike from Gareth Jones prevented them from suffering defeat against ten men.

Elsewhere, second-placed Wroughton ran out comfortable winners over Marlborough Town in a 3-0 victory. Tom Dingle scored midway through the first half before second-half goals from Riegan Cook and Aaron Maximen secured all three points for Wroughton.

Meanwhile, third placed Shrewton United went down 3-1 at home to Cricklade Town.

Shrewton were undone by three set-pieces as Elliott Corp bagged a brace for visitors Cricklade while Sam Broadbank netted the other. Dominic Jackson scored Shrewton’s goal.

Trowbridge Town continued their impressive unbeaten run with a 0-0 draw at home to Melksham Town Reserves while Westbury United Reserves came out 4-2 winners over Royal Wootton Bassett Town Development on Saturday.

Saul Johnson kicked the goalscoring off early as he struck inside two minutes before Bassett hit straight back thanks to George Staten.

Derek Wheeler powered a free-kick home ten minutes later to give Westbury the lead however, Staten nabbed his second to square up proceedings before the break.

Matty Mead edged United in front again with a powerful strike from the edge of the box before Johnson scored his second late on to wrap up the points for Westbury.

A David Cotter hat-trick, plus a Lewis Pickernell goal, gave Ludgershall Sports a 4-3 win over Pewsey Vale Development.

Jacob Garrett, Corey Cullen and Joe Gentleman netted the Pewsey goals to level proceedings at 3-3 before Cotter’s third claimed the points for Sports.

A goal each from Mostafa Abdelrahman and Ben Perrett wrapped up a 2-0 win for Devizes Town Reserves against Football ID while a solitary strike from Corsham Town Reserves Ben Selman was all that separated Purton and Corsham at the Red House.
