SWINDON Wildcats completed a perfect weekend in NIHL South One this evening with an emphatic 5-1 win away at bottom side Invicta Dynamos.

The Cats had previously swept aside fellow strugglers Milton Keynes Lightning 5-2 on home ice on Saturday night.

Aaron Nell’s side only held a narrow lead at the end of the first period, with Sam Jones’ strike all that separated the two teams.

However, the Cats moved up a gear in the second session and another goal for Jones plus one for Sam Bullas made it 3-0.

Swindon continued to dominate in the final period and Bullas soon got his second goal of the night before Jonas Hoog took the visitors’ tally to five.

Invicta actually had the final word on the night when Oskars Ancitis hit the back of the net in the closing stages, but it was much too late to deny the Cats their win.

Swindon now enter their new year break and have no fixture until they host Streatham at the Link Centre on Saturday, January 19.
