HEYTESBURY will enter the festive period on top of the Division One table in the Trowbridge Windows and Conservatories-sponsored Trowbridge & District League following a decisive 5-0 victory over Calne Eagles.

Adrien Vinileanu opened the scoring for Heytesbury on 13 minutes with a header from a Charlie Waylen corner, and they then moved further ahead after an Eagles own goal following good work from Craig Sheppard.

Early in the second half, Bradley Edwards added a third goal, Charlie Waylen then struck from 30 yards to make it 4-0 and Sheppard completed the rout with Heytesbury’s 50th league goal of the season so far.

Luke Murden scored a remarkable seven goals for Hilperton in an 8-3 thumping of Three Daggers.

Nathan Conradi scored the other goal for Hilperton, which cements position in third in the league. Reuben Spong (2) and Phil Hampson were on target for the Daggers.

Trowbridge Town Reserves and Semington Magpies shared the points in a 1-1 draw.

Kelvin Lockwood opened the scoring for Semington in the first half and Andre Ribeiro equalised for Town after the break.

Unfortunately, the wet weather claimed the games between Freshford United and Melksham Town A and Warminster Town Reserves and Holt.

DIVISION TWO

WESTBURY United Development thrashed Spencers 7-1 to remain top of the Division Two table.

Harrison Trevor helped himself to four goals, Marc Lanfear bagged a brace and a further goal from Josh Whitehead kept Spencers rooted to the foot of the table. Spencers’ lone strike was scored by Oliver Elms.

Aces remain third in the table after gaining another point in a 2-2 draw on their visit to Greyhound.

The visitors could only field 10 men for the fixture but still went ahead in the first half with a Max Betteridge strike. Greyhound equalised just before the break and then went ahead in the second half, only for a Brett Smith penalty to bring Aces level again.

Calne Town Reserves ran out 3-0 winners against struggling Trowbridge Town Development thanks to goals from Adam Sullivan, Brett Fairclough and Oscar Webster.

The Division Two contest between Zeals and Marshfield and the Wiltshire Junior Cup tie between Alderbury and Warminster United were postponed due to the poor weather conditions.
