The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

ONE TO WATH: Louis John

A SEVERE lack of goals for Cambridge United this season has resulted in the club’s defenders having to step up and dig out nine points from a possible 42.

But a possible change in fortunes for Joe Dunne’s men occurred on Saturday with a confidence-boosting 1-1 draw against 10-man Lincoln City.

Central defender Louis John starred, denying the hosts a series of chances after only turning professional in the summer following his switch from non-league side Ebbsfleet United. Currently sat in the relegation zone, Cambridge’s start to the season matches Swindon Town’s indifferent form.

John’s steady start to his professional career could quite easily prove Town’s undoing later tonight.

KEY BATTLE: Keshi Anderson v Greg Taylor

EXPERIENCED left-back Greg Taylor will provide an interesting match for Swindon Town’s Keshi Anderson tonight, particularly given Cambridge United’s poor defensive run and Town’s lack of confidence in front of goal.

United were dealt a blow when Brad Halliday picked up a yellow card on Saturday, meaning he will miss the game – a slight change in formation might be applied. Taylor’s role, therefore, becomes even more crucial to the visitors’ cause.

Anderson, meanwhile, will be keen to end his run without a goal having only netted once in more than 1,000 minutes of football this season, despite being served up a series of key chances.
