LUKE MCCORMICK – 6.5

Given the bird by the home faithful for his Plymouth links but despite picking the ball out of his net twice, he actually had very little to do.

KYLE KNOYLE – 6

Was a promising outlet down the right for the visitors in the first half, but should have done better with a few crosses and faded after the break.

LUKE WOOLFENDEN – 5.5

Forte and Stockley were handful at times for the Town defender but it was hardly a torrid afternoon for the youngster.

OLLY LANCASHIRE – 5.5

The skipper tried to make his presence felt in both penalty areas, but rather like his team it was all just a bit off the mark.

DION CONROY 5-5

A couple of misplaced passes in the early stages showed initial nervousness but he was largely competent dealing with Exeter’s attacks

MATT TAYLOR – 5.5

Will be annoyed by some of his delivery from set-pieces, namely corners and two free kicks which were off target and had his hands full with Holmes in the first half.

TOUMANI DIAGOURAGA – 5.5

Gave the ball away a little too often early on, but one fine pass set Marc Richards through for what could have been a Town equaliser.

MARTIN SMITH - 5

He would have wanted more from his first start since August but struggled to impose himself on the game and was eventually replaced in the second period.

KESHI ANDERSON – 6.5

Looked the most likely to spark Town in the opening 45 minutes but his teammate were not really on the same wavelength. Still willing after the break, but not as effective.

SCOTT TWINE – 5.5

A couple of moments when he could have pulled the trigger but failed to do so and faded as a consequence before being replaced.

MARC RICHARDS – 5

Will rue two golden first-half chances to get Town on the board and was a peripheral figure otherwise before being replaced by Woolery.

SUBSTITUTES

Steven Alzate (for Twine 52) 5.5

Buzzed around a fair bit after coming on but was unable to unlock the door for the visitors.

Elijah Adebayo (for Smith 61) 5

Failed to really make an impact after coming on.

Kaiyne Woolery (for Richards 70) 6

His introduction was greeted rapturously by the travelling support and showed some promise, without being able to make headway.

Not used: Wiil Henry, Sid Nelson, Jermaine McGlashan, James Dunne.
