ONE TO WATCH: Freddie Ladapo

FREDDIE Ladapo hasn’t enjoyed the best of times at Home Park since joining Derek Adams’ side in Devon during the summer.

The 25-year-old former Crystal Palace striker netted for the first time since joining Argyle during their 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, the club’s first league win of the season.

It stands him in good stead ahead of Argyle’s Checkatrade Trophy opener against Town this evening, presuming Derek Adams opts to field a relatively experienced team in their first of two home group games.

Ladapo spoke highly of the Argyle faithful in the aftermath of their most recent win - and Phil Brown can be sure the former Premier League man will be wanting to add to Plymouth’s run in the week.

KEY BATTLE: Yann Songo’o v Scott Twine

SCOTT Twine is likely to be handed a start by Phil Brown tomorrow after impressing the Town boss when coming off the bench against Northampton at the weekend.

While the Town teenager is without a first-team goal of any capacity in six months, tonight’s Checkatrade Trophy fixture presents the former Chippenham forward with an opportunity to register his first senior goal in a Swindon shirt.

Twine will face an Argyle defence that has conceded 20 goals in their opening 12 league fixtures, and strong French defender Yann Songo’o will be keen to reverse the home side’s fortunes in tomorrow’s Checkatrade Trophy opener - a game Town must win.
