The Wiltshire Gazette and Herald:

ONE TO WATCH - JOHN AKINDE

STRIKER John Akinde opted to leave Barnet at the end of last season following their relegation to the National League, after notching seven goals in 32 appearances and had several potential suiters despite an injury hit campaign.

During his time with the Bees, the 29-year-old scored 87 times in 166 games which includes some time down in non-league.

After opting to join Lincoln City over the summer, Akinde made his debut in last week’s 1-0 opening day of the season win over Northampton Town, where he partnered another experienced striker in Matt Green.

Danny Cowley handed over an undisclosed sum for the frontman, who became a fifth summer addition for the Imps and the transfer is supposedly a record fee for the League Two side.

KEY BATTLE - JERMAINE MCGLASHAN V HARRY TOFFOLO

SWINDON Town’s right-hand side looked good against Macclesfield Town last Saturday as Jermaine McGLashan and Kyle Knoyle combined well.

However, former Town loanee Harry Toffolo presents a different threat this week as they travel to Lincoln City, as he will look to get forward at every opportunity.

Swindon could also be without full-back Knoyle for the game at Sincil Bank after he picked up a hamstring problem against Chelsea U21s in the Checkatrade Trophy on Tuesday night, meaning McGlashan may have to run backwards as well as forward to cover the threat of Toffolo at the weekend.
