KYLE Campbell refused to be blown off course by the high winds and blistering heat as he clinched victory at the Marlborough Junior Open.

A field of 30 players from across the county took part, Campbell carding a gross score of 78 to win ahead of Jarvis Bell, from Wrag Barn, who scored 84, clubmate Oliver Jeans finishing third on the same score.

The nett prize went to George Dahne, from Andover, with 70, just ahead of Tidworth's Polly McGrane and Salisbury & South Wilts' Cameron Young (71).

James Black was crowned the Erlestoke Junior Open champion, making the most of home advantage to post a gross score of 72 (nett 68).

Second was Tobias Clark on 80 with Dom Samra third on 86.

Rory Cameron was first nett score with 68 (gross 72), ahead of Ellis Bright (nett 71) and Harry Burton (nett 75).

The girls' gross winner was Eleanor Harvey with 95, Niamh Cripps' 75 winning the nett prize.

There were two entries in the short course competition, William Badminton and Angel Samra, who both got a prize.
