WILTSHIRE county darts has moved moved back to the Ferndale Club, Swindon with the Super League set to get under way on Sunday (July 22).

Doors open at 10am for registration, with practice for an 11.15am start, with August 5 and September 2 the subsequent Super League dates.

From these, the county teams will be selected for the opening Wiltshire match away to Northumberland on September 15-16, with the first home match, against Somerset, following on October 13-14.

A small county squad is on the lookout for more players, male and female. Players need to be over the age of 16 until the county resume their youth section.

The season runs from the end of July to the end of May next year, featuring 12 Super Leagues, nine county games (this season four home and five away), as well as three county qualifying competitions, for the World Championship, The Gold Cup and the Winmau Masters.

For selected away games Wiltshire pay for one night’s accommodation for all those selected, with friends and partners also welcome, but required to pay for their own accommodation.

Spectators are welcome for county home matches, with the entrance fee of £3 set by the BDO for both days.

The men’s trophy this season will be named 'The Steve Squires' memorial trophy, in memory of the county, Super League and former county men’s manager who recently passed away.

Sponsors are also being sought for a dart boards and the county man/lady of the match awards as well as to feature in the Wiltshire darts programme.
