BATH have confirmed seven new recruits to their senior academy from the club's U18 programme.

They include Tom de Glanville - the son of former Bath and England captain Phil, plus Tom Jeanes, Sam Elrick, Simon Elrick, Will Butt, Olly Cattell, and Ethan Hutt.

Academy Manager Andy Rock said: “We’re proud to say that each of the players coming into the senior academy have developed through our pathway over the last four or five years.

"They have all shown significant long-term potential and we want to support them all to realise this potential in the coming years with Bath Rugby.

"The work that our Academy staff have done with these players over the past 24 months in particular has been very good, and they should also feel proud of the part they have played in these player’s development.

“It’s also a fantastic reinforcement of our regional pathway and the work of our clubs and schools to see players arriving into full-time contracts from a number of different environments such as Bryanston School (Sam Elrick and Simon Elrick) and Canford School (Will Butt) where past players Scott Hobson and Peter Short are in charge of their respective rugby programmes.

“The most exciting thing for us is our knowledge of how ambitious this group of young men are, alongside how much the group of players they are joining in our fill time environment will help to drive their development.

"We’re fortunate to have individuals like Miles Reid and Kieran Verden who have now been here for a year, alongside the likes of Josh Bayliss and Max Wright who have recently joined the first team squad who will set a great example for this group.

“As a club we truly believe that these individuals can play a huge part in the success we all want to achieve, and we will continue to invest in them and their development over the long-term.”

Meanwhile Bath have agreed a new five-year partnership with Dyson which will see the global engineering firm continue its title sponsorship of the club.

Dyson - who have been the title partners of Bath since 2014 - will continue to be the main brand on all club kit.

In addition, the firm will also remain the naming rights holders of the East Stand at the Rec.

Tarquin McDonald, chief executive at Bath Rugby said: “We are delighted to continue our partnership with Dyson. Over the past four years we have shown just how powerful it can be to partner with the right brand. Dyson is a progressive, innovative, industry leading business, with values synonymous with our club and we are tremendously excited by the challenge of continuing to deliver value for such a global powerhouse.

Rebecca DeNiro, managing director GB, Dyson added: “Dyson’s partnership with Bath Rugby over the last four years has been incredibly strong and we’re excited for what’s ahead for the club.

"This new commitment brings an expansion of community initiatives like the Bath Rugby 7s Club Championship in association with Dyson, which we’re thrilled to be a part of.”

As part of the deal, Dyson will continue to support The Clash - the club's annual home fixture played at Twickenham.
