MALMESBURY'S Louis Harvey put in a consistent performance in round two Junior TKM Superone series British Karting Championships at Clay Pigeon Raceway in Dorchester, securing points in every heat and both finals.

Finally crossing the line 11th after a scorching-hot final, Harvey totalled the ninth highest points score of the weekend.

After two very strong practise session he had posted the fourth quickest lap time of the morning session but in timed qualifying, only managed to secure 11th fastest despite only half a second separating the entire grid.

Slowly making progress in the opening heat until being pushed wide allowing two to pass him, Harvey crossed the line in 12th position and heat two again saw him battling in midfield to eventually finish 10th.

Starting inside the top 10 for the next, he quickly moved up to eighth, his finishing position and starting spot for the main final.

There, Harvey reached as high as sixth by lap three, but as the tyres heated up in the blistering sunshine his kart suffered from too much grip and by lap eight was starting to drop back, eventually coming home 11th.
