THE Wiltshire School Games’ Girls Basketball County Level Three competition at St John’s Academy, Marlborough, was won by the host team.
Matravers, Lavington, St Edmunds and Commonweal School all took part, but St John’s won their games comfortably, while the game between St Edmunds and Matravers went to sudden-death free throws with St Edmunds prevailing.
St John’s principal Nicky Edmondson presented the awards with the Academy Year 11 pupils and sixth formers helping to run the event, along with referees Vince Marriott and Walter Amos.
