TWO second-half strikes from Calvin Evans inflicted a 3-1 defeat on Royal Wootton Bassett Town as they lost at Thame United on Saturday.
The breakthrough came for United in the 12th minute when Steve Yeardley handled in the box and Ben Gray sent the keeper the wrong way from the resultant spot-kick.
Steve Roberston hit a speculative effort from 25 yards that came back off the post in the 20th minute before the equaliser did arrive on 34 minutes when Sam Packer played in Roberston who stroked home.
But Two goals in the space of twenty second half minutes were enough to sink Paul Braithwaite’s side, who face local rivals Fairford Town tonight.
