TOMMY Bridewell is targeting a big finish in the MCE Insurance British Superbike Championship finale at Brands Hatch next week after two more top-ten finishes in the penultimate round at Silverstone.
The Etchilhampton rider finished tenth in race one and followed up with a fourth place in the second outing and remains fourth overall, just off the podium places and a place behind Milwaukee Yamaha teammate Josh Brookes, heading into the final round triple-header in Kent on the weekend of October 18-19.
Bridewell said: “We did not have an ideal weekend as the setting was out in race one when I had no pace and was stuck with a group of riders.
“We made drastic changes for race 2 and they made a lot of difference. It is a shame because we were a race behind.
“We are in a bit of a see-saw at the moment – we have one good race and one bad race. I could have got ahead of Josh here and now it looks like I will have to try again at Brands Hatch.”
