DEVIZES judoka Tom Reed will compete for the men's U81 kgs gold medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow tonight after a third successive ippon victory in the preliminaries this lunchtime.
Team Bath ace Reed, 28, defeated Canadian teenager Louis Krieber-Gagnon in the semi finals at the SECC to guarantee himself at least a silver medal.
The Devizes Budo Club member will battle fellow Englishman Owen Livesey in the final scheduled for just after 7.15pm this evening
Earlier, Reed won his opening match in the last 16 against Cameroon's Eric Jean Omgba Fouda by ippon to move into the quarter finals.
He then defeated 19 year old Cypriot Robert Nicola, also by ippon, in the last-eight clash to book a semi final against former cadet world champion Krieber-Gagnon.
