TOCKENHAM showjumper Jessica Mendoza was in fine form at the Lier Belgium €24,000 Grand Prix last weekend weekend.
The 17 year old claimed second place with mother Sarah and John Roberts’ 13 year-old brown mare Spirit T.
Mendoza was the only competitor who managed to beat the time of 35.36 seconds posted by winner Sam Hutton, from Surrey, stopping the clock in a time of 34.55 seconds.
However a fence down on the course saw four faults accrued, pushing them into second.
Hutton, 24, produced the only double clear of the competition with Dunwalk Ltd’s 10 year-old bay mare Heidi du Ruisseau Z, Belgium’s Dirk Demeersman and Artemise du Houssoit in third.
