CHIPPENHAM ASC swimmers Jack Cook, Matt Cruse, Peter Holden, Matt Hare and Henry Moore were the second fastest team in the country in the 2013 Swimathon, raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.

A total of 1674 teams entered the team relay with Chippenham swimming 59 minutes and 11 second for the distance.

Chippenham were fourth in Division One of the Wiltshire Summer League in Trowbridge on Saturday.

They took five first places and eight second places out of 50 events.

Matthew Hardick repeated his success form the first round winning the U12 50m butterfly and breaststroke.

The Hare brothers both won, Andrew taking the U14 50m breaststroke and Matt the U16 100m butterfly.

The U12 girls team of Ella Parker, Rachel Hare, Isabelle Pinguey and Michaela Sheppard won the individual medley relay race.

Chippenham swimmers also swam a superb 32 personal bests.

Team scores: Trowbridge 165, Bradford on Avon 123, Swindon Dolphins 115, Chippenham 93.
